Step 3 – Raffle Ticket Templates And Changing Your Font Style

Saturday, May 19th, 2007

Hi there… and welcome back!

Last time we met you were knee deep in your raffle ticket software. You had selected a print orientation and a raffle ticket template design to get you started.

Last time too, since you selected one of twelve raffle tickets templates that comes with the software, we promised to help you make your raffle tickets look different and unique if you want them too. Otherwise, feel free to use the templates as they are.

Let’s get started making our raffle tickets more unique by changing the font style .

Your software comes prepackaged with ten different raffle ticket font styles. The ten font styles included are:

  • Pedro/ChantillyLHPedro Chantilly Raffle Ticket Font
  • Accent/Volkswagen
  • Berlin Bold/Berlin
  • Comix Bold/SansCond.
  • Honeymoon/Volkswagen
  • Toxica/SansCond
  • Zephyr/Volkswagen
  • AdLib/Arial
  • Entebbe/ChantillyLH
  • BealeCharming/SandsCondLHBeale Charming Raffle Ticket Font

By using the variation bar tool you can preview your raffle ticket design in every font style available before you print them out. It’s really convenient and it’s a cinch to use.

But, using the variation bar is not the only way to change your raffle ticket font. And, the ten fonts listed above are not the only ones you have options.

You can also change the font across the entire ticket, or in any element(text box) by highlighting the text and then using the font drop down menu. Using the font drop down menu gives you all of the font options that you currently have installed on your computer.

My computer has over two hundred fonts and I’m sure yours does too, because basically, all of these fonts came with my Windows Operating System software.

Altogether, you should have plenty of raffle ticket font style options available to make your raffle tickets unique and professional looking…

…Just by changing the fonts.

In addition to the font style itself, you can of course use bold, italics and underline your font. You can center it , left justify it, right justify it and just plain old justify it.

And oh yeah, how could I forget, you can change the font color too.

Do you need to insert a special character?

A superscript or a subscript?

Not a problem, this raffle ticket software does it all. It pretty much does everything your favorite word processing program does. It’s very flexible and highly intuitive! Which means you can figure it out for yourself.

So, to change your font style, you can see here that it really takes no explanation at all. I’m sure if you’ve worked with computers before, you know the routine.

Now then, since you’ve got the raffle ticket font stlye down pat, let’s explore your options to insert raffle ticket clip art, graphics and photos into your raffle ticket design. And you thought font styles were easy!

That’s it for now…

Ciao,

Rick

Step 2 Choosing A Raffle Ticket Template

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

OK, so now we’re back to designing and making our raffle ticket!

Again, let’s review the steps we’ve covered before we go on to the next step.

First, you read an overview about Designing, Creating and Printing Your Own Raffle Tickets – Step By Step to start things out.

Next, you learned about Installing Your Raffle Ticket Software.

And then, after that you thought about and planned a few necessary things Before You Started Making Your Own Raffle Tickets.

These were all preliminary steps to actually creating your raffle tickets. But, finally we got into the meat of it all last time, when we learned about Step 1 – Selecting Your Raffle Ticket Template’s Orientation

Again today, we’ll take this one step further and explain: Step 2 – Selecting your Raffle Ticket Template.

For each raffle ticket orientation (portrait or landscape) you’ll find six different raffle ticket templates to select from. That’s 12 raffle ticket templates all together.

Select the one design that comes closest to satisfying your personal needs or the one that contains the most basic information you’ll need for your particular raffle.

Don’t worry too much about your choice here, because just like with everything else, this raffle ticket software is very flexible and forgiving. You can pretty much change your mind at any time and not lose what you’ve already created.

Once you’ve selected the raffle ticket template you want to use, click the “next” button in the setup wizard and you’re now ready to personalize your raffle ticket design. raffle ticket software

Keep in mind, that these raffle ticket templates serve only as a starting point for you.

They can easily be used, as is, with minimal personalization. But, to make your raffle tickets more unique and to stand out even more you’ll have the option to do just that.

In the next step of Designing, Creating and Printing Your Own Raffle Tickets… we’ll cover step 4 – Personalizing your Raffle Tickets using fonts

Here’s what you should see before you begin the next step.Start to Personalize Raffle Tickets

Are you ready to personalize the fonts of your raffle ticket design?

Good.

But that will have to wait for the next time. That’s all for now!

Auf Wiedersehen,

Rick

Step 1 – Selecting Your Raffle Ticket Template’s Orientation

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

I guess you are all waiting with bated breath to dig into your new raffle ticket software and create your very own raffle ticket?

Good… but first, let’s review in case you missed it.

First we introduced you to the concept of

Designing, Creating and Printing Your Own Raffle Tickets – Step By Step

then we explained about,

Installing Your Raffle Ticket Software

and finally we went through some steps to think about

Before You Start Making Your Own Raffle Tickets

Hope you read these posts first, cause today, we’ll open our raffle ticket software and get down to creating a raffle ticket The first step is:

Selecting the orientation of your raffle ticket template.

The cool thing about this Surething raffle ticket software is it’s sort of a “how to” make raffle ticket software in and of itself . If you use and follow the new project wizard, it’ll pretty much lead you, step by step, by the hand, through the entire process of making raffle tickets.

We’ll try to describe the steps as vividly as possible here but to be honest with you, if you have the software you won’t really need these words to figure it out.

But, we’ll do our best…

Step 1a – Open your raffle ticket software.

When you first open the ticket printing software, which you can do by double clicking the desktop shortcut, or finding the SureThing Ticket Maker program file in the Start menu under Programs, you’ll see the New Project Wizard. This wizard will lead you through step by step. If the new project wizard does not open select File/New on the Menu to open it.

Step 1b. – Landscape or Portrait Raffle Ticket Template.

Here’s the First screen you’ll see. You can chose either landscape style raffle ticket templates or portrait style template to start.

Raffle Ticket Wizard - Step 1

Here’s an example of a “Landscape” style Raffle Ticket Template:

and the one below shows the “Portrait” style Raffle Ticket Template:

You can make your selection and then click next on the Wizard.

Don’t get too obsessed with your selection of ticket template at this point. You can easily go back and check out the other option before you get too far into your design.

Well lets wrap this up for today… hopefully you’ll have selected which ticket template orientation to use and hit the Next button…

Next time we’ll explain how to select one of six starting layout or designs for the raffle ticket or event ticket template.

Till then… Adios amigos!
