Cheap Plain Ticket – Not So

September 8th, 2011

OK!

Let’s review, Compulabel brand raffle tickets are not just another cheap plain ticket.

Yes,  the come in plain vanilla white card stock, but after you design and print them out with the starter kit software they become professionally designed and printed (in color with a color printer) tickets.

So to answer a few questions….

Yes, each sheet of 8 tickets comes perforated.
This means you bend them along the perfs and they easily come apart.

Yes each ticket itself is perforated so that there is a ticket stub.
This means the raffle ticket holder gets to keep one end of the ticket and the other side goes into the raffle ticket drum to be picked on raffle day.

Yes each end of the ticket, both the stub and the main ticket body can be designed by you  to contain the ticket number.  This helps in verifying winners

Yes you can purchase unlimited plain ticket refills, and design unlimited unique raffle tickets, or any kind of ticket for that matter.

If you have more questions about these not-so “cheap plain tickets” please contact us today and do not delay ’cause you will not be disappointed !

Who wants a CD with your child’s name in it and on it?

April 28th, 2008

I just read this article at the DesMoines Register and thought it was pretty cool that now, not only can you have your child’s name printed on a CD Label but you can also have it digitally recorded and incorporated into the songs recorded on the CD as well!

Wonder how they do that. I guess it’s all about the software?

Speaking of software, we’ve been searching for some CD Label or DVD Label software to offer all our customers and have not been able to find one that satisfies our demanding customers’ needs. So, I am asking for help?

Does anyone know of any CD Label and DVD Label software that easily helps you layout and design professional looking CD or DVD Labels? If so please post your suggestions here.

Thanks!

Glossy CD Labels

April 25th, 2008

Here’s what MW Evans had to say about glossy CD Labels at dvvideo.com

“Labels – A beautifully designed and printed glossy CD label stuck to the face of the CD can be make a great impression. It communicates the contents, who it came from, what the system requirements are for viewing the CD and protect the top side of the CD from scratches.”

In addition to that rather keen observation, Mr Evans also reveals the code for making your cd play automatically when inserted into a PC – CD Drive. Believe it or not, it is as simple as using three lines of code in a file called Autorun.inf.

You might also be surprised at how easy it is to create and design your own glossy cd labels with just your word processing software like MS Word or OpenOffice.org. Check it out and try it.

Create your own Raffle Tickets

April 22nd, 2008

If you are the creative type you might want to check out our raffle ticket starter kit.  The  kit includes a raffle ticket software cd, and enough card stock to make 400 raffle tickets.  If you need more than 400 raffle tickets look for the raffle ticket refill kit.  This allows you to make 800 more tickets.I know what you’re thinking….you have no need for raffle tickets, right?  Well, take a second to check them out anyways.  The software program is so flexible, that we’ve had customers design the standard raffle ticket, while others have used the kit for concert tickets, party invitations, movie passes and probably a few other things we’ve never even heard of.

Actually, if you used our tickets in the past, we’d love to hear from you.  We’d like to show off how creative you can be.  We’ll display your tickets on a special page at www.tlcIT.com.  The page is not complete yet  because we are waiting for you! :-)

Pressure Sensitive Labels

April 12th, 2008

I had a question from a customer the other day that made me stop and think.  So I thought I’d share it with you and see if it helps you out.

The question was “what is a pressure-sensitive label?”

Now that seems like a pretty basic question to me, but then again, I have to remember that I work with labels all day long.  And something that is second nature to me isn’t necessarily common knowledge to everyone.  That’s kind of like asking me how to tie a lasso.  That’s second nature for a cowboy, but it’s foreign to me!

So I pulled out my books and looked up the technical definition of “Pressure-Sensitive” and found this:

Pressure Sensitive Label:

A face material paired with a pressure sensitive adhesive. Every label produced and stocked by Compulabel is pressure sensitive.

Pressure-sensitive Paper:
Material with an adhesive coating, protected by a backing sheet until used.

To simplify, this means that anything we make is considered to be pressure sensitive.  This includes all of our laser and inkjet sheeted labels like item # 312107.  It also includes our pinfeed labels like item # 110654, and even our Thermal labels like #620752 are pressure sensitive too.

So the next time someone asks you “what is a pressure-sensitive label?” you can tell them exactly what it is, and where to find it – at www.tlcIT.com!

Let me know if you have any questions like this one.  I’ll figure out a way to explain it!

Free Compulabel Labels For Your Birthdate?

March 7th, 2008

Want to win some free labels?

Julie recently sent out the following email to all of our customers. but I wanted to let all our blog readers in on it too in case they did not get an email.  She does not know I am posting this here but she’ll soon find out.  ‘Cause  hopefully she’ll get bombarded with requests for free labels.

Here’s the email she wrote:

So I realized something today that I thought was kind of neat.  And I thought I’d share it with you.  I hadn’t really thought about it before, but we at www.tlcit.com celebrate a lot of birthdays in the month of March.

Last week, we celebrated Dave’s birthday with a round of banana splits!  That was a great start to my weekend, that’s for sure.  And Brian’s birthday is coming up near the end of the month.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed for another banana split!

So I thought…..I’d like to give out birthday presents.  I can’t afford the new Hummer that Brian wants, but I’d like to come up with something.  I decided on some free labels!

If you email me your birthdate between now, and March 15th, and your birthday is the same as someone here, we’ll send you 10 free sheets of our address labels

You can email me at csvc at tlcIT.com and include your Name, mailing address (in case you win) and your birthdate.  I don’t need to know the year, lol….after all, it’s impolite to ask.  So just tell me, January 3rd or October 11th…..and if you have the same birthdate as someone here at www.tlcit.com …we’ll send you a free 10-pack.

I’ll let you know the correct dates in my next email.

Can’t wait to hear from you.  And hope I can give you a Happy Birthday present!

Better hurry cause this offer ends March 15, 2008.

Recommended CD/DVD Label Software

January 8th, 2008

Many times our customers ask us what software would be compatible with Compulabel cd labels and many times we explain that using a good word processor like MS Word or OpenOffice is all you need.

For the most part this is true. But sometimes people need just a little more than a regular word processor to design, layout and print a cd or dvd label and this is where special software like Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker comes in.

I have not personally used the software but I have thoroughly read the Acoustica website and it appears to do all that you need to create professional looking CD or DVD labels and jewel case inserts too.

The really cool features that especially appealed to me are you don’t have to manually type in the song tracks anymore. The software reads the tracks off the cd you are ripping and you use that list to print your new label.

Another cool feature involves label alignment and is called the “label optimizer”. This special feature ensures that your design is correctly aligned on your labels.

Yipee! That means no more wasted cd labels! Check it out.

Growing Numbers Pay for Postage & Print Shipping Labels From Home

December 18th, 2007

According to this article Ohio.com – Mailings peak today at post office.  A growing number of customers are paying for postage and printing shipping labels from their computers.

Wow talk about waiting till the last minute…

And, I can’t help but wonder which blank shipping label people are using to print on?
Would you like to venture a guess?

CD DVD Media Labels – Organize Your Life

November 27th, 2007

Today more and more people burn their own CD’s and DVD’s.  They collect songs, movies, photos, podcasts and more.  And these collections take more and more space.

Compulabel can help you organize your CD and media collections with labels.  Labels for floppy disks and audio cassettes or VHS, CD and DVD’s.  Labeling can help you solve your problems organizing and keeping track of all your media collections.

For CD and DVD’s compulabel currently offers eight different layouts.  Layouts similar to Stomper brand, Hewlett Packard, Neato, Memorex and Avery brand labels.  You can select from white inkjet/laser labels or photo gloss labels or transparent gloss facestock labels.

These labels go on the CD/ DVD itself but what about the case?

Well, in addition to labels, compulabel also offers jewel  case insert cards to help you organize your collection one step further.  Just put them in your printer,  print them out, and insert them in your jewel case.

Unique style labels such as mini CD labels and hub labels are also available.

Are you still living in the audio/visual/computing stone age?

That’s ok… I know I personally have quite a few VHS tapes, cassette and floppy disks lying around too.

Look no further, compulabel carries labels for VHS tapes, audio cassettes and even floppy disks too.

Keep your self and your media collections organized with a label, it’s simple but highly effective!
